Can someone help me translate a message in French Please?

Hi everyone   I know a some French but I'm a bit rusty!!   I've won and auction from ebay France. The seller gave me an estimated cost on shipping when i asked (16 euro) , and so I bid , then the seller has gone to the PO to get me an exact shipping quote. This is the message i got back: and what i want to know is, is the 8 Euro mentioned in additon to the 16 Euro, or is it instead of?....

"bonjour j'ai pu avoir un tarif a 8euro en suivi aussi au lui de 16 euro.cordialement "


and also , could someone tell me the correct way in French to ask the seller to send me another invoice please?

I hope someone can help because I used Google translate and I am reading it as it is an additonal cost.

I am not sure though as I have not spoken any French since Highschool and that was a million moons ago

yeah thats what I thought about the additonal cost  (Bleh!) but those online translators arent always accurate so ..I'll stay hopeful for now

Hmm, it does sound like the seller is saying he/she will need to pay an additional 8 euros on top of the 16 that was quoted.  Try asking the seller something like, "S'il vous plait, puis j'ai un nouveau facture?  Je suis un peu confuse sur le prix totale.  Combien cela va-t-il coûter à envoyer l'objet?"  Good luck!

Thanks both for your help     I got it sorted now  (and my french has come back a bit too! )    The seller only charged me the 8 euro shipping in the end , which was great

Yeah, I read the message as saying that shipping would be 8 instead of 16. I think there was a bit of misspelling there that probably caused the confusion. It should have said 'au lieu' which means 'instead of' but it says 'au lui' which is 'of him'. Glad you got it sorted out and shipping was half the price!
