Finally a Clawdeen I don't really want She's not even my fave character or anything but I usually love her dolls; still so many of hers on my want list. I love Abbey and Venus though, I think they're pretty cute. I like Venus's new hair colors.

Abbey: Cute outfit, and I love the hair. But I fail to see Himalayan anything here. Unlike Jin and Skelita, I don't think they've ever really portrayed much of her heritage as it ties into real life. Talking about snowman building contests and storing your cheese with your clothes doesn't count.

Wow, I Sooooo just realized that. She's one of the "Foreign" girls, yet nothing screamed foreign for her in a while, just memerable quotes stated.

Venus: I adore her makeup. The outfit is really cute, but it seems more of a fashion pack than a themed outfit. And it doesn't seem very punk or plant-like. Another nitpick- why does she have the same hair? Yes, it's pretty cutting-edge for playline, but it's virtually the same as her last two.

Totally agree! same hair style, but instead of green and pink, it looks like it's gonna be pink and black. I mean, Yay, she she's gotten a hairstyle that's never been done in the doll world, but seeing how the flocking can wash out and easily get ruined, repeating it doesn't seem to help. >,< a little OT, but I wouldn't even consider her Swimline release a "new" release, same exact faceup, shorter hair by a tidbit, only thing new is the outfit.

I did notice that Mattel has a hard time understanding what hip hop is actually supposed to be... (See DC Howleen).

lol remember when Mattel tried to do hip hop dolls and released that doll line: "Flavas" Didn't last a year and they got discontinued to the ground HARD with controversy.

I shudder to think but honestly, I've been netflixing classic Who and one of the 60s companions had this horrible monstrousity of a glittery (and even though it was b&w I'm going to assume it was gold) catsuit. It needed THOSE BOOTS to finish it off. Srsly.

Haha, totally. And Abbey is likewise mixed up... Hippie on top, go-go girl on the bottom! And Venus is more scene kid than classic punk... But I do love them all, crazy ghouls

Seriously. She's really more like a Russian yeti rather than a Himalayan one, what with her accent and the fur-lined ensemble. And now she's like a Russian hippie. I like her boots though.

I agree. Give us a Venus with a proper mohawk! Or just give us a fashion pack.

Clawdeen: My least fave. I think the pantsuit is cute, but not very detailed. I don't mind re-used shoes (well, boots), but the overall look is pretty bland. Love the hair, but the open mouth and smaller eyes aren't doing it for me.

Definitely not liking this one. I prefer the original version of her boots, and yeah, I'm getting more of a disco vibe than r&b.

I love Abbey's top and boots.  I think that's the only things from the music festival line that I just have to have.  I really wish they'd make some clothes for Clawdeen using the color scheme from her first signature release, with the peach and purple.  Just imagine those same boots she's wearing here done in black, with sparkly peach details and purple accents.

Hot Stuff is one of my favorite summer songs! Now THAT is a song to blast and dance around to in your underwear!

Of note, I think Mattel ALWAYS always releases dolls back to back that look fairly similar. Suddenly we started seeing Ghoulia with a very short hairstyle, Abbey with bangs, Clawdeen with reallllly big hair, Operetta with a ponytail, etc.
