Unfortunately there is a filter on that pony's name. Any time it is typed, it is automatically corrected. I'm not really sure why.

From what I understand, there's a lot of controversy or "drama" over her, her fandom, and especially her name. That's why there's a filter that changes it.

My advice would be to not stress out about the small stuff. Life is too short to have drama over one pony when there are literally thousands of ponies in ponyland.

There has been lots of drama surrounding her fan name, many people were offended, and threads about her always seem to end in disaster.    If you run a quick search (look on the top bar), you'll see what I'm talking about.

She pulled a muscle and is on medical leave.  She will probably be back to work in about a week.

What I find most ridiculous about Drama Pony is not her name or voice or anything like that, but that people are giving her a hard time when it was Rainbow Dash being a rude A-hole.  Drama Pony was just being clumsy but Rainbow Dash yelled at her like she was an incompetent moron.

But, that's not what this is about so I will restrain myself from going any further.  Yes, the name is filtered now.  It used to be okay to say it, then it got filtered to Ditzy Doo, then it went back to normal, then it became Annoying Pony (which didn't help at all, if you ask me), then finally Drama Pony.  With any luck, the filter may be lifted again when the show and other half of the fandom (meaning the Bronies) die down a bit.

I think all ponies should have fun nicknames. It can be like a scavenger hunt each month to find the pony with the new nickname.

I personally want Mimic to be "Pea Soup".

Her name has been filtered, because her name can be seen as offensive and there was a lot of arguments on the board over it so its been changed to keep the peace.

It's simply because we can't continuously moderate 30 threads a week about the grey ponys name and all the drama surrounding it. It got completely insane. Like Karen says, there are 1000s of other ponies to talk about

Can i just ask then why the filter changes her name to something like drama pony or annoying pony??? Surely if there's a name issue, changing it to something far friendlier sounding like bubbles or ditzy (even though i hate that far more than the original name) would cause a lot less threads about her name???

I personally like "Bubbles" (as she was called on the Hot Topic ordering page) or "Gray Bubble Pony" better than "Drama Pony".  Poor gal just doesn't know what went wrong! (She's one of my favorites too)
