G3 and G4 Red Roses and UV change custom

Here are some customs I did. G3 RR I rehaired years ago, but didn't paint until just recently. I HATE painting symbols. Maybe my materials are just too cheap. They absolutely won't make fine lines. Anyway, they're good enough just for me. As to the UV color change custom, I'm thinking of naming her Meraxes--I was reaching for something old and kinda ugly/pretty. So here they are.

Wow, she looks great!  I ADORE her hair, both the styling and the color placement.  Her symbol and magic hair really do make her look quite royal.

What a fantastic idea with the thermal hair! I love how it's all white when she's not in the sun, then all the hidden colors pop. She's a beauty! your red roses are spot on too.

Thanks guys.  To answer Manda's question, they sell it at mylittlecustoms.com , a British site.

The bad: It is slightly harder to work with, but not too bad. Unfortunately it doesn't curl. I've tried to give it a ripple by braiding then unbraiding, but the waves fell out after a day. Also, I've read that it gets ratty if you brush it too much. Also, the sun isn't strong enough to get the colors dark until about 10:30, and when you take it inside, it goes back to white within a few minutes. I think with the old sunshine ponies, the color stayed longer...

The good: It's super freaking fun! Also, the site gives you a lot of hair for an order. Oh, and it's the softest hair I've ever worked with.

How difficult was it to get the tail in? O: I've never seen one of the princesses customised before!

Also, if it's the Polypropylene hair, you can boil perm it. I have some glow in the dark Polypropylene, as well as thermal stuff and it boil perms nicely.

Haha, I actually seem to have chosen them all. I put it on my Xmas list, and my BF sent them all to me :p

The tail wasn't a problem, but I did something different this time, because the body is so hard. Instead of tying the tail in half before insertion, I just looped it over some floss and pulled it in through the back, THEN I tied and anchored it after. Worked great. Getting the wings out wasn't bad either--THIS TIME. I had a Cadence with so much glue, it was a mess.

Good to know about the boil perm. I would do it, but I like straight hair to be an option, so I'll prolly skip.
