The Golden Horseshoes

No, not the episode with Mimic :lol: G4 golden horseshoes! :biggrin: I couldn't stand for my princesses to have unpainted shoes any more so I got some gold paint and did it myself :) Well, pink Celestia had yellow shoes, but I wanted them gold ;) It was only after I painted all of them that I realized Luna has blue shoes, not gold :lol: I think they all look much better though!

Oouh, those look fantastic! I've actually been planning on doing the same thing myself (though I think I might give my Lunas silver shoes) - what kind of paint did you use, and did you have to prime with anything to get it to stick? I know sometimes plastic's funny about paint. @.@

Yes I was thinking the same thing! When I bought the new sets that came out I noticed that they were not painted. I was a bit disappointed!

I've always thought it was ridiculous how they had the shoes molded on but didn't even bother to paint them! It looks so cheap! They really do look soooooo much better now :)

Thanks, everyone!

I did not have to put anything on them before, the paint went on just fine :) I used a metallic gold paint from FolkArt that you can get at Wal-Mart :) It only takes two coats! I haven't sealed it yet because I think I got the wrong kind of sealer, lol. You guys should totally paint them, they look gorgeous in person :)

Dainty, I was thinking the same thing. Hasbro is so cheap sometimes :P At least they painted pink Celestia's shoes, but the Luna and Cadance that came with her didn't have painted shoes! Cheap, Hasbro!!! :P

Looks great! I did the same thing with my talking Celestia...made no sense to not have them painted and the gold looks so pretty!
