Thundercats they've arrived

I was really in to this as a kid it was my one other obsession apart from mlp. well as the ponies kinda died out then obviously came back (with avengance) this never actually did.

well the other day I was going through the tv guide on sky and found out they have actually remade it....  ........ but I am actually thinking of starting to collect some of the figures from both generations and combine them with the pony collection.

Anyone else like it or is it just sad little me

The reboot that you have discovered is pretty well done, from what I've seen of it, but scheduling issues led me to drift away.  It's a shame, really.  I had high hopes, still do.  To my knowledge it is not outright cancelled yet (though I lost track before the end of the first season and would have no idea what's going on at this point).  Even so, there was some decent merchandise released, much of which is now on sale at many Walmart locations.  The larger Cheetara is especially nice in its multiple points of articulation.  The kittens, however, disappointed me greatly, as they were only ever released in small, less articulated versions that couldn't even bend their legs.  Better than nothing, I suppose, but I was hoping they'd get a larger set release as well.  In any case, happy hunting!

as far as i know there is only one season as it has been  canceled ! but its a shame as it was quite good  like avengers

I LOVED the THundercats reboot- it was really well done!  I only saw the first season- how sad that it got cancelled- it was really good!

I only ever saw the pilot 'episode' (more like a short movie) that ended with the destruction of the city.  Bleh. We both would have like to see more, but it hasn't been on again since!

I love it, I love the original series in all it's 80's hamminess, and the new series is pretty good. It's a bit more of an 'action reboot' but it's pretty awesome. And I love the newer version of Cheetara.

Wait what, the Thundercats reboot was canceled?? Noooo! That was the only cartoon besides MLP I watch on TV! I thought their schedule was just totally weird and screwed up. I wasn't expecting to like it, but I actually thought it was really well-done too. Boo

Yeah, with a lot of others here I think the scheduling killed it off. I liked the style and the new designs. I hated the old Snarf, the new Snarf is freaking adorable!

and i have a lion o figure from the new series on my desk.
Will Friedle is one of my favorite voice actors.
he is so cool!

i heard it's on hiatus, not officially canceled though.
i'm hopeful that cartoon network will get their act together and bring back thundercats and generator rex.

I had to clue what Thundercats even were until I watched an episode of Toy Hunter and he came across a few.  Somehow I totally missed this series during my childhood.

Wow I am a huge fan and have most of the new figures.  They hit all the discounters over the summer and this fall, but have pretty much dried up since. 

I joined the t'cat forum and have done a lot trading there, great little community. 

Feel free to PM and we can talk about the various new merch that was released, while I am no expert I do have most of it. 

FYI the older figs can be very expensive depending on condition.  Just google bengali or pumyra, they aren't cheap.  Figured they were out of my price range but one day a Berbil will be mine.

Bengali in to the four figures.....  so I won't be getting him or pumyra but the Berbils are reasonable I am not a mib collector so it is not as bad.

I have all of the vintage episodes and am looking in to getting the newer ones on dvd. but for the figures  i think I might start with the newer ones then move to the older ones so I can find ones that are in better condition i only really want to get the ones of the characters I am most fond of

eg all of the thunder cats,
                  mutants,
                  tuskers
                  berbils
                  and of course evil dude

not entirely sure of the vehicles though

Never completely got into thundercats but there are other shows and such that its happened to.  Youhave 0 interest in them for 10 or 15 years and then it hits you xD
