Strawberry Shortcake...which version do I have?

I picked these guys up this weekend. Obviously I have Strawberry herself, and her cat, and I ID'd her "twin" as Huckleberry Pie. (My bad, Huckleberry!) But I'd love to know which version of the doll I have. She has flat hands (as does Huckleberry,) which I believe should mean she was the first version of the doll released. But she isn't wearing the outfit that that the first-release doll had. I did some internet searching yesterday and didn't see this outfit at all. Also, this doll had her cat (although he was in a different bag, and after all these years it's certainly possible that this particular doll isn't the one he originally came with.) which I believe the first release of the doll was never sold with.

So, there's my dilemma. Any experts out there who can tell me which version of the doll and which outfit this is? :)

P.S. Custard is the cutest thing ever omg

Edit: So I just discovered "berry wear." It looks like my doll is wearing the Berry Patch outfit...so it looks like what I have is a first-release doll wearing the SSC equivalent of PonyWear, with the cat from one of the later release dolls...is that right?

I would go look on ghostofthedoll and ask around there and check the toy page you may find better info there.

Yep, that is indeed what you have. Strawberry and Huck, first release. Cat from second release. And not her original outfit.

This website has lots of info on vintage SSC items and could help you now or in the future for reference.  I have used it multiple times and love it.

This one has the Berry Wear on it as well.  It looks like your SSC is wearing the Berry Patch outfit:

Thank you so much for the help, ladies! And thank you Nessa for the links, that site is great!

These dolls are so much more charming in person than they are in pictures...and some of those dolls and their pets are so adorable...Somebody, quick, convince me that I don't need anything else to collect! :P
