Little Things can make a difference

So the other day, one of my students (I teach high school business) came to see me before school.  She was saying how her day wasn't off to a good start, and she needed to get this paper done before first hour...  It was then it dawned on me that I had an extra pack of My Little Pony FiM sticky notes (the ones from Target last year-ish) in my office.  Last year we had found out that we both liked ponies, lol... so anyway, I went to get the sticky notes and tossed them to her.  I told her, "These are for you, assuming you still like ponies!"  She looked at them and said, "Oh my gosh!  Ponies!  And they're sticky notes!  I totally needed some more!  You know me so well!  This makes everything better!"  I know it sounds so small, but honestly, that comment and that reaction made my year so far (even though, yes, it's only less than 2 weeks in haha).

Have you guys ever given just a small pony gift that changed someone's day around - or have you been the recipient of such a gift???

Last time I had so many spare Tattoos from the enterplay packs, I decided to drop them off at my allergen office when I was getting my weekly allergy shot. I figured the kids would enjoy it (they were giving stickers. why not tattoos?) I'm not sure if it put a smile on the kids faces, but it put a smile on one of the nurses.

Anyways, that was very sweet of you to turn her day around. Awesome teacher you are^_^

Awww - that was a super sweet thing to do I am sure you made your student's day that her teacher could be so thoughtful.
