My New Horse

Hi everyone! I thought I would share some pics of my new horse, Lucy. I lost my mare Maddy to colic in November after having her for 17 years.  I was so heartbroken (still am).  I wasn't expecting to  buy another so quickly, but something about Lucy caught my eye, and when we went to see her she was just perfect. We are doing a payment plan, so she's still at the current owner's farm until she's paid off, but hopefully not for too much longer.

She's a 12 year old appendix quarter horse. Her thoroughbred lines go back to Man o'War, so that's kind of cool. Hope you like her!

I am sorry to hear that you lost your loved horse. But at the same time its also awesome that you found a new friend. I can not see the pictures for some reason though. I do know what a appendix quarter horse looks like. I hope I can see the pictures when I check back. Maybe its just my internet.

Hey! How'd you do that? I tried taking the .html out and using the img tags but still didn't work :(  But yes, she's the mummy. That was 3 years ago, her little one is all grown up now. He's half arab, half quarter horse :)

I'm sorry to hear about Maddy. But moving on is a good thing to do. And Lucy is a beautiful horse. I love her foal, too. When I saw his head, I was thinking "Arab" straight away. I bet he's gorgeous now.

Thanks everyone! I can't wait until she's home so I can take more pics.  I'd love to breed her, but not sure if I'll have the funds any time soon, but her baby is so cute. Here he is all grown up at 3 years old. Horses are the best!

 :dropjaw: that mare is amazing and so photogenic... i hope you do manage to breed off her the youngster picture is gorgeous.

I bet she has tones of personality the dun I work with everyone thinks he is part human. (which if you knew biscuit is very scary)
