What Italy Snuzzle is this?
« on: January 12, 2013, 12:27:51 PM »
Hello!

I recently got a new pony in my herd who I thought was a normal Italy-version.. But compared to my basic Italy Snuzzle she has blurry eyes (but don't seem to be AB), she is smaller and has a little bleeding going on in her symbols. And she has only two hoofs stamped.

Someone already said she could be a Macau-like version..?

What is she and how much is she worth? Just curious  :P

Here is a picture of her eye, kinda lousy picture but haven't got a better one right now... This eye is worst than the other. (THe other one is just for comparison, regular Italy).

Thank you!

I believe there are three variations of Italian Snuzzle.  The white body, pink symbols, pink hair edition; the airbrushed eyes version; and the stamped on two hooves one.  :)  I think what you might have is the latter.

I have two Italy Snuzzles. One with stamped eyes and two feets stamped. One with airbrushed eyes and two feets stamped, or at leas I thought it was Ab version. Her eyes are a bit blurry too. Both of mine have violet hearts, but the AB one has a lot darker ones. My AB one isn't a macaulike version, because her pose is more like a dwarfish pose not the long legged one.
Edit... Added more information.

^Well, this one has dwarfish (?) features so she is ordinary ab Snuzzle?

She has light violet hearts on her symbol.

^Thank you!

I've always thought AB eyes are more blurry and has longer eyelashes...

There are 2 different styles of AB eyes. The eyelashes look slightly different & even have different shades of blue.

I reckon she is a dwarf and she has airbrushed eyes, I recall a thread here some where explaining which were dwarfs and I do think its the 2 stamped version

This is an article Roz did for the Nirvana Spotlight on Dwarf Italian Ponies.
She did an awesome Job

Compare her stance to a normal Italian Snuzzle.

Italian Dwarf Ponies
Italian collector ponies were made in four different molds, and those considerably differ in shape and size. The better manufactured were pretty similar to the FF ponies made in Hong Kong (except they have concave hooves) and I made up the term "dwarf" to refer to them because they are smaller than HK ponies/other Italian ponies.

These are some of the typical features of a dwarf:

- feet are close (those are wide apart)
- hair plugs are sewn close (those are distanced)
- larger rumps comparared to other Italian collector pose molds

To clarify: dwarf ponies have lower head, close together feet and writing on two hooves only. However, also non-dwarf ponies may have writing on two hooves only, the interesting thing is that I have never found a dwarf with writing on all fours.

Also, dwarves always have the PAT PEND while hunchbacks may or may not have it.

Here's a pic that possibly clarifies:

should have factory marks on two hooves only,

Peachy 1 - Normal
Peachy 2 - Dwarf (feet are close together and the pony is smaller).
Peachy 3 - Hunchback (the head is smaller than the body).

Thank you all!

This was a nice surprise, I thought she was a regular Snuzzle when I bought her :)
