What kind of collector are you?

Deboxer all the way!
MIB-er all the way!
It depends for me.

I adore MIB and MOC, therefore I buy some G3 double to have them both ways. For G4, if I get one MIB it stays that way, if I get them loose, it's ok too. And G1, I want to collect my childhood ponies MIB and MOC.

Mostly a deboxer, I do need to comb hairs and smell the ponies :P
But I do have a couple MOC G1s, just because.

Deboxer. I like to have the pony itself in my hands to play around with. I have been tempted to double up and open one pony and keep another MIB but I really don't have the space for it. In an ideal world maybe :P

Well, due to space constraints, I've forced myself to debox my ponies. Since then tho, I've found that there's no point keeping stuff MIB- it makes me feel happy to be able to hold my ponies :)

I started off getting anything, mostly loose ponies from lots. As time went on I became more and more picky. I wanted loose ponies that were minty condition. Now I am buying all ponies mib. I do sell off loose duplicates as i feel it unfair to keep them as someone else might want them...now I am on a buying hiadus after this last deal I have going that is still in the works...have to get bills gone, and hubby and i agreed to sell a bunch of loose ponies wth the promise of buying them back when the debt is gone....so that means I might buy them all back mib... :)

I keep my new ponies MIB because I enjoy them that way, but all my G1, 2 and 3 are loose

I love box art so I always try to keep at least one in its box.

for me, it really depends. most of my collection was bought second hand so i have a lot of loose ponies with which to play with. i have a fair amount of boxed ponies though, for example my ponyville mermaid ponies stay in the box because i think they look nicer that way, and i don't want to lose their accessories.

sometimes i'll leave things in their boxes for months before deciding to open them, and sometimes they don't get opened at all. so it really depends for me.

Total de-boxer... When I bought my FS Luna, my fiancee had to stop me from opening it on the bus back home ^^; I like playing with the pretty ponies :D

Plus I enjoy putting my ponies on display on my Canterlot Wedding Castle and it's kind of hard to display them on there if they are in a chunky box :P

It depends for me. I don't own any G1s or G2s MIB, but I would never open them if I did.

G3s I mostly debox, but it depends on the pony. Special edition/holiday/rare-ish ones stay in the box. Anything else gets deboxed.

G4s are deboxed, no questions asked.

Honestly, I would have a lot more in boxes then I currently do, but I just don't have the space!

I voted "it depends" because I could probably never bring myself to debox a G1, but since I'm not into MIB I don't buy MIB G1's. I debox G3's and G4's all the time. G2's I'm kind of on the fence about. If I could find one of my rarer wants, for a decent price, but she was MIB, I might debox.

It depends for me. About half my G3 collection is deboxed and all my G4s are deboxed. If I had a MOC/MIB G1 though I would definitely leave it in the box! The boxes themselves are gorgeous :)
