Lion King connoisseur needed! Is he really so valuable??

So, I have a plushy toy from my childhood of Simba and recently I found another one for sale here and bought him out of nostalgia. However I decided to downsize and would like to sell him now. By googling  I found this:

needless to say my jaw dropped! My two boys are exactly like this and in absolutely great condition too! Are they really worth this much? Can you give me some more details on this particular toy? And, of course, let me know if you're interested ^^

I'm thinking checking ones that actually sold will give a better idea.  He does seem to sell for a decent price, but not $90.

Yes, I figured after I posted that this one didn't actually sell (I'm a noob on ebay, sorry), but still, he does seem to run around $40-50 mark which is much more than I expected. I don't know the first thing about Lion King merch so I'd like to get some informed info before I try to sell him

Agreed - I'd take a wider sample of ended auctions to get your starting price.

i used to have that simba! mom gave him to the church we had too many stuffed toys when we were little. makes me sad, because there were quite a few in there i wanted to keep and she just sent them all away before i could save any.

Mine only sold for .99 on Ebay a few months ago- I was terribly disappointed.

Anyone who pays even $30-$40 for one is an idiot. I was surprised to see ebay listings with those prices too, and they make no sense because that plush is not any more rare than all the others.
I have three - the original one I got as a kid plus two that I found for about $2 at thrift stores. I don't intend to sell them though. They are just my favorite simba toy.

I think there is one on Amazon that is the same for $65, and Amazon is always overpriced, so I'd say this is definitely overpriced if it beats Amazon. This seller has a lot of stuff that has no bids whatsoever.

I didnt hav that particular toy but I did have a few lion king plushies so I definately know the sentimental thing

But honestly.. about every child I knew had one, so I don't think he's particularly rare or anything.. :7

thanks for all the input! I also found it really funny that there are so many of them on eBay and every listing is like OMG SUPER HARD TO FIND UBER RARE erm, I don't consider something that at my first search has 20 listings on ebay to be super HTF still, I might give it a try at some point, I might get lucky ^^

I'd say yours would/should go for 20-30. I've seen the exact same one at an op shop recently :p
