Hope this photo is going to work!visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI have here the as-yet unnamed (working title of KikiKoikoi) koi style beady pony that I've been making as a Christmas present. Naturally, it wasn't finished on time *g* but she now is done, and delivered, so I decided to post her here.I've been making beady ponies for a while now, improving my technique a little each time, and I think with Kiki here I finally reached the best way to do it.Each bead is on a thread (or more than one, in some cases), so no more loose beads to drop off and get lost in transit. Theere are three different colours of beads, the orange ones were bought from a specialist bead and embroidery shop to match as close as possible to the orange hair. The design is part of the threaded bead strings - before, I would do the design separately and then weave the base body colour strings around it. The design is *almost* symmetrical, as are all good koi fish ^^ and was done freehand, hence the *almost* symmetricalness of it all.The hair is MLP nylon - Black Magick and Satsuma - from My Little Customs. One whole line of plugs was done with one colour, and the other line with the other, giving it a slightly layered look. The eyes were painted using an eye painting guide from here, as I wanted them to look more like real G3 eyes - eyes are one of my weak points, and my usual approach is to just go over them with one single colour. but this is a special lady and so I wanted her to have a little more ZING.
