School campus power off

So I'm a teacher in china and live on one of the school campuses. Last night, around midnight, everything went off :( so now we're out of heater, out of light and Internet connexion. Fixing will take 3 days. We'll go live at my husband's parents house but their house is not insulated (at all, as usual here) and I won't be allowed to turn any heating device on... There's only 9 little degrees in our bedroom right now *goes back to freeze*

Sorry to hear that dear! Always drink warm or hot liquids and don't touch anything cold. Keep your clothing thick and your blankets thick too so they can block out the cold air reaching your body and reflect heat back into your body. Stay strong!

Hope the power's back on for you soon - we've lived through many a power outage, usually in the dead of winter, and it's never fun.

Speaking of blankets reflecting heat, have you got any of those silvery blankets?  They're really good for keeping in body heat. ^.^  Best of luck, and bundle, bundle, bundle! :hug:

Thank you all for the advice!
I don't have these shiny metallic sheets but we have a thick duck feathers quilt. Our bedroom is now at 5°C  :cold:

I lent all my extra quilts to students, I feel so bad for them! It's a boarding school so they stay 2 weeks on the campus then go home for 2 days. They are all out of power too and started to organise speeling with friends ^^
