It depends on how different the model of pinkie pie is.  I won't go out of my way to get a normal double.  Unless it's a stuff toyed...

Pinkie Pie was one of the 2nd ponies I bought (the other one was Rainbow Dash) I wasn't really into collecting when I got them and I didn't realize how much pinkie pie you get with everything! but the pinkie pies and the other spare mane 6 ponies from sets go to become baits for custom projects (I lack a rehairing tool and hanks of hair, but the ponies are there for when I am ready to get started) I have:

1 Extra Rarity
1 Extra Pinkie Pie (it's the crystal pinkie pie, I don't want to bait it... but I don't want to have more than one pinkie pie on my shelf. That's Fluttershy's job)
1 Prepped Twilight Sparkle

I have at least one of every G4 Pinkie, not counting So Softs or Learn To Walk PP.

I think the Learn to Walk thing is the one that I am terrified of. I will probably have nightmares about it coming to get me tonight. It reminds me of those huge walking robot things in the original Star Wars, and I can totally imagine it equipped with lasers, missiles, and other such sophisticated arms.

I too have only encountered PP when she's infiltrated bulk lots. Although I have to admit, once I have her, I like her!

I love Pinkie, and I've got several of her.  However, I would rather have more diverse brushables than multiples of a pony that I like.

Another Pinkie has infiltrated my house through the CE bath set! That makes 13 playful sized Pinkies. The sad thing is I don't even have every version of her.
