Generally Adventure, fantasy, action and comedy. Any fun, uplifting movie. I tend to stay away from drama, my life has enough as it is, I don't need to watch more of it! XD

I love drama, horror and historical. Sometimes romances, but not always. Sci-Fi too, but it needs to be good, and of course Fantasy, but it needs to be very captivating.

I picked Fantasy, Horror and Comedy :P

I love love LOVE fantasy movies =) And there's nothing like a good scare every now and then ;) And comedy... well who doesn't like to laugh? :P

I don't mind action movies, war movies, western movies and such but it's not my top choises.

As for family movies it depends on which one it is. I love Disney and the Ice Age movies and Shrek and such. But there's many out there that are just plain boring and too childish to me.

And romance movies... urgh, can't stand them. Too much lovey dovey sap in there for me :P

I checked Other.  I love natural disaster movies.  Armageddon, The day After Tomorrow, Dantes Peak, Twister, love them all, even the straight-to-TV ones

Ah yes, disaster movies are cool. Hubby has The Day After, and The Day After Tomorrow (waaaaay too cold for me!), Towering Inferno, Poseidon Adventure, Airport (and all its sequels), etc etc. Even Volcano is somewhat fun though I guess it's a bargain bin movie these days.

Action!!!
Crime (particulaly heist films)
Historical / Period pieces
Mystery
Fantasy (we got all the Twilight movies for Christmas, yeah!)

...AND... Documentaries. But to me, they are altogether separate from entertainment and simply wonderful.

I haven't voted yet, but I like

Fantasy/Adventure (Lord Of The Rings)
Science/Factual Documentaries
Mystery

"Other"- I like movies that are ambiguous & dense with overlapping themes, etc. I recently watched Synecdoche, New York and David Lynch's Mulholland Dr. (I watched his Twin Peaks series long ago too). Piecing together info and making theories. I know I sound geeky lol

My sixth has to be documentary.

My five were:  fantasy, science fiction, family, comedy, and ...  I can't remember it.

EDIT:  Got it!  Historical.

My favorite genre are thrillers- scary movies that aren't gory. Also like action/adventure, sci-fi and fantasy, historical themes, as well as documentaries. Not so keen on romance or war movies.

My choices were adventure, fantasy, historical, mystery and SF. I also enjoy documentaries and humor, but sadly, to me comedy is a synonym for hour and a half of forced jokes so I didn't pick that.
