Does anyone actually LIKE G1 BBE ponies?

I utterly love them to the point i currently have over 250. They aremy main army pony. I intend to collect 500 of the buggers. And i try clean and style all back to former glory but take them in any condition!

In the last year, I finally saw one in person and decided it wasn't all that bad. I don't think I'll go out of my way to collect them, but I won't panic if they show up, either. (Unless rust is involved).

The one I had as a kid (Baby Heart Throb) actually didn't close her eyes if you laid her on her side.  You had to turn her onto her back, feet up.  Made her look like she needed a tombstone more than a crib, I'm afraid.

She also had one eye that stuck unless you physically pressed it shut, from day one.

I'm glad to see they do have a following! I admit I don't think I've ever seen one without some level of rust. Now I feel inclined to track some down

I liked them when I was a kid.  I got Baby Shady for Christmas one year and loved her.  I do agree they were much nicer when they were new.  I know they look funny, with funny-shaped heads, long necks and weird poses, but I did like them when they first came out.  If I could find them in good shape now, I'd be happy.

  The 'glass' eyes themselves are pretty...and the ponies are cute...but putting them together didn't exactly make Reeces Pieces.
  I think the eyelids are the creepy part, but I'm okay with the eyes themselves.
  I have Frosting, I just loved his unique green color and the unique pose/horn style. (Yes, he's a boy in my herd )  Although LadyMoondancer is right, they all have kind of messed-up looking legs. *shrug* I might break down and get baby Ribbon someday, because her colors are just gorgeous.  The rest don't really do much for me. (Except Gusty, but I want the adult version and I have a one-or-the-other rule, blah blah blah.)
  But even with those few I like, it's the colors and the pose, not the eyes. I have to agree with the "creepy" consensus, but they're okay if they aren't rusted out.

I have a soft-spot for the NM clean ones because I really DO like the Unicorn pose!

I also like the ones with rusted-out eyes because they look like me after a week of no sleep!

I personally do not like them because they look a bit creepy. However, I really like the unicorn pose and I'm very fond of Baby Frosting I would love to De-BBE all of them

When I was first researching G1 ponies to make my wishlist I wondered what had gone wrong with these ponies...then I saw a Baby Lofty for sale and had to have her. So I guess I've been converted

I don't mind their eyes, actually. But some people think my Pullips are cute until they see their eyes move/open & close & then they sort of shudder and think they're creepy.

I think they're cute and although they have the tendency to be creepy, I also like creepy things.
