Blush help?
« on: December 22, 2012, 01:34:43 AM »
What's the best way to do blush and make it look fairly factory? I usually don't bother with it, but I wanted this G1 custom I'm working on to have it and I'm failing miserably at making it look good. And, no, I don't have an airbrush.

I use a piece of pastel chalk from dollyhair, I don't know how reliable they are at the moment. I use a small brush and rub it on the chalk, then brush it on the cheek in a circle, working inside to out and letting it barely touch when I get to the outside of the cheek so it fades.

It's under the "paints and brush" section, and I use "carmine."

Edit to add: Now that I think about it, I think that human blush or eyeshadow would work the same.  ^.^ Here are some pics.

Thanks! I'll give both those ideas a try and see which seems to work best for me. I already have a set of pastels around here somewhere.
BTW- Baby Sprinkles and her duck are SO cute!

If you decide to use regular blush I'd double check and make sure it doesn't contain any oil.  Honestly, I don't know if that's common in regular blush or not, but I'm always wary of trying products that haven't been proven safe on ponies.
