My hubby found this... Anyone have similar sentiments as a child? (or even now?!)

 ;) ;)

Wow- brat! lol

I know I didn't have that sentiment as a kid-  when I wished for an expensive toy, my mom would say "Santa can't afford that."  Seemed reasonable to me...

yhea I asked for that a few times so my dad said real ponies were to big to fit in Stanta's toy bag so I got toy ponies and I figured that was good enough for me

Yea I have to admit that if I was the parent of that kid, I would keep the note for the future but let them know that they were not ever allowed to write a note like that again. ;)

... or there will be consequences... :lmao:

Thank goodness, no sentiments like that over here.  My son's one of those who writes letters to Santa asking him to feed the poor.  As for me, when I was of an age to pen my annual epistle to the jolly old elf, I asked for extravagances (like the ubiquitous pony, or a great big plush mountain upon which to play with my other toys,) but never truly expected them.  Hoped, yes; expected (with talk of consequences?), no way.

Santa should leave that kid a plush pony that looks just like the drawing.  Angry pony face and all.

Wishlist - I'm back on (semi-) active buying again... can't buy everything on my wish list all at once (yay, back-to-school and tuition fees), but I am still looking to plump up my collection a bit more: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,380638.0.html

Haha, wow. I wonder what that kid did upon discovering that there was no pony on Christmas morning.

As an adult, I still frequently tell my dad I will send him to *worst retirement home in the area* if he doesn't buy me a pony.  It's all in good fun though, we both know I'm joking.  Whoever wrote that note was probably just joking too.  Does anyone else think the pony looks more like a pig?

I'm guessing an adult wrote that. Awful big word for a child.

I wouldn't be surprised if the kid was joking; I used to joke like that - adding stuff to my list that I never expected anyone to buy me.

Nah, I always went out of my way to be courteous when I wrote to Santa, or else he might skip my house altogether-according to my parents, of course.

I stopped believing in Santa quite early, so when my parents couldn't afford something, they would have a talk and say just that. I always understood and never got sad over it because they always made a huge effort to get everything I would ask for - and I... asked for a lot when I was a child hehe.. ^^''

Nowadays I don't ask for anything and I still get a large amount of presents LOL I guess it will always be the same !
