Winter Royalty ponies

I had a rush commission from a friend, and was given lots of room for creativity but only a week to be finished! I wasn't sure I could actually do complete customs in that time, but my friend really seemed enthusiastic. So I gave it a shot! Of course he wanted pink and purple ponies which aren't what I usually make... so I had to prep bait too. Man there was a lot of glue in those heads. Anyhow, I went with a princess/queen theme as requested. So the purple pony is Winter Queen and the pink one is Winter Princess. They are for my friend's sister and niece. They are simple, but I'm happy with how they turned out. I put their hair up to paint them, but I think I might leave the Queen's hair up. It looks nice :) Winter Queen's crown is based on Queen Victoria's and the princess crown is just from a tiara pic I found on the internet. Princess has starlight and daquiri ice Dollyhair, and Queen has after midnight, ultraviolet and virgin snow. If you haven't seen the brilliant hairs like starlight yet, you should! So shiny :)

I wish I had a better camera to show off the colours of the hair... they're gorgeous.

My trick for doing paint details is a bit embarrassing... I use the water soluble extra fine sharpie paint pens. I just can't get that kind of control with a paintbrush.
