Custom piggy pony?
« on: December 18, 2012, 09:01:24 AM »
Has anyone made a pony into a piggy?
I really want a piggy but they are way put of my price range. So I got to thinking about making a custom and wanted to know if anyone else has tried?
thanka!

I think it would be pretty difficult to re-create that body shape. The feet especially, because they are thinner than regular MLP feet... you'd either have to create a new pony body from scratch, or cut off the feet and sculpt new ones from polymer clay.

I have pondered the possibility, but, as others have said, there would be substantial sculpting.  There are also the blinking eyes, if you want one to be super-authentic.  Definitely possible, but an involved project!

I have wondered doing a baby piggy, but as many others have said it would involve a lot of sculpting. My idea was to cut up a beddy-bye-eyed baby and sculpting a new body using the scraps of the old one. Definitely a project I will do at some point next year, but only after I get some more Apoxie.

I googled pig and found only 1 custom by Colorscapesart. If you go their deviantart page you will find it.  I'm pretty sure I have seen this customizer on the forums so maybe send them a msg and maybe they can help you out?

CSA is one of our lovely and super sweet customs mods, so I'm sure she'll be along shortly. While I could be mistaken, I don't think she's ever made a Piggy Pony though. If she has though, I want to see it!

I never realised they had blinking eyes! That's a whole other challenge in itself.

I decided to start my BBE into piggy custom now. I already cut up the bait a bit and started adding apoxie to her. She'll have a modified profile, modified muzzle, larger ears and what not.

I have made a pony into a pig :P  But it was more of a standard oink oink sort of piggy.  Thank you for thinking of me though! <3

A Spain piggy pony would be intense!

Phew. I'm halfway done with sculpting and sanding the head and boy does this one take a lot of work! I'm almost losing my nerves with all this sanding, but that is just because of my ways of working with apoxie. Next time I sculpt something like this I'll make sure to finish the  sculpted parts more smooth when they are still soft.
