You can glue the head on the body when you are done.  It won't turn, but it can still look lovely.

I recall a member posting about they were trying to make replacement plugs. If someone remembers the thread, I bet you could get in touch with them to see if you could get one.

I just glue the head directly to the body. I hate working with those stupid neck plugs!

I used some fat copper wire and glued one of mine back together around that.  Just like new!  I hate those neck plugs, but I dislike ponies that can't turn their heads more!

I've never broke a plug but some of the G4s I've done don't have turning heads anyway. I probably still have plugs lying around if you want one.

You could also use a toothpick to the same affect, depending on how sturdy it needs to be. I wouldn't recomend it for a child to play with, but for display & mild play it'd be ok.

I've done that before.  Just glue the head back on, it won't turn, but it works.

You can make a basic plug, sort of like a peanut shape, out of Sculpey and glue it in. Then just cut slits in the skull's reentry hole so it's easier to reattach to the base. Nobody's going to see anything but the neck anyways xD

I did the same thing with a paper clip. Just bend it, stick it in and flatten the ends down. Glue the broken bit back in place and voila! Like new. Then the head can still turn normally.

For future reference, putting the pony, or a least her head, in boiling water for a few minutes before removing the head will soften it and it will come off pretty easily without breaking anything.

Just use glue and don`t worry about that, just work on the pony as if nothing happened, no one can see it after you used clue. ;)
