NYC Collectors Meet Up?

Hey everyone!

Any collectors in the NYC area interested in having a meetup sometime soon? I'm totally open to ideas, locations, etc.- but I would definitely prefer a location that's relatively easy for people to get to. We can hang out, have snacks, talk ponies, maybe even draw or be creative together.

So, anybody up for it?

I'm interested! Maybe a meet in Bryant park in the early Spring? You know, after the weather is done being freezing, but before it gets hot. Bryant Park is very close to Grand Central for those of us who don't live in the city.

Don't forget, the Big Apple Ponycon in March. Based on the people running it and some of the guests I think it will be a collector friendly con.

Oh I do know about that con, I just thought it would be fun to do something a little different. Not so much a formal ticketed event, just a get-together to hang out.

Fifty. Dollars. Have to pass on that con yet again. Not paying a hundred dollars to go to Bronycon 2.0.

Never know if it'll come back in this direction, but I'd rather save the money for the MLPFair.

If you don't want to wait until spring we can always do a centralized meetup, check out the rink at bryant park, get some lunch and head to toys r us . :-)

I help run the BroniesNYC meets. I know a few of us are collectors (including Kar Red Roses) who I can pass the word on to.

She's one of the people who started BAP, and I was asked to have my own display of older gen items there. Paul will be at PAX East so I'll have something to throw myself completely in to!

If you want to get technical, our BroniesNYC meets are collector "friendly" because they have two collectors at the helm (Kar and I as co-organizers) but they are FIM Brony oriented, and you may hear some ribbing about older gens. I can take it, but I know others are sensitive.

Our Hearth's Warming is this Saturday if anyone wants to stop by and check us out. Disco (my bf) and I man the store table, which sells Pony merch that he travels around and purchases, plus our members sell their own wares. If you have FIM and other nerdy craft to sell, we don't charge extra for our tables. Just admission (between $9.99 and $15 depending on our monetary situation of the month) and certain months we need to charge for food (like this one).

This month it'll be $14 admission with $4 meal tickets, and will run from 5pm to 11pm. We usually dedicate the last 45 mins to an hour to a dance party. If you want to check out the Brony scene that we have and see if its something you'd like to be a part of, its a great chance to check it out, and possibly make some money if you craft.
