How Do You Store Doll Clothes & Accessories?
« on: December 13, 2012, 01:51:32 PM »
Does your doll have a little dolly armoire or dresser? Do you just toss their clothes wherever? Do you hang them up? Fold them? Where do you store their jewelry and accessories?

Everyone who posts a pic of their storage system gets a brownie and a hug!

Mine are all wedged in a cardboard storage box  But they are pretty boxes with butterflies on, and they're bagged up into clothing catagories (Bratz, MH, stuff that fits Liv, stuff I need to alter or get rid of) and the smaller bits are in posh little storage cases :D Need to get a couple more boxes though as mine is bursting at the seams...

Mine are really terrible and I need to get better. xD I've been keeping my clothes in ziplock bags for yeaaaaars. I wouldn't recommend it for delicate stuff but it works okay. I got a bunch of clothing recently and they're all in individual ziplocks and its awesome. I need more tiny baggies. As far as accessories etc go. . .right in there with everything. XP All that's separate is the accessories I use a ton/are delicate, and they're just sitting around, and earrings (which are in a Liv suitcase accessory thing).

Currently, all my dolls and clothes are in the same cardboard box, divided with a cardboard to separate the dolls and clothes/etc stuff.

As for clothes, I store them in ziplock bags with a small hole in a corner and separate them by release/set.

They're thrown randomly into a cardboard box.

Mine are separated by size into Ziploc bags (Pullip/Liv/Barbie, SD, MSD, Pukifee, PukiPuki) and then all the bags are in a storage ottoman at the foot of my bed.  My SD clothes are bursting out of their baggies though, I really want to get some photo storage boxes to separate and stack everything.  Phoebe has more clothes than anyone else, lol.

All my accessories and hair clips and things are in baggies, tossed in a basket at the bottom of the ottoman.

I have a toolbox in use. All my small stuff is in the top and the clothes are in baggies in the bottom.

Plastic bins that were originally marketed as shoeboxes.  That, and lots of ziploc bags.  I have a few armoires and trunks but not many.

I use plastic storage boxes for my clothes for now, but shoes, socks and accessories I use the hinged lid plastic boxes you can get from Michael's for like $1.99 with lots of small compartments people often store beads in.

We have some seriously posh dollies in here!

Well, the less you spend on storage, the more you can spend on stuff.  :P

Tiella - I love that bead box idea! Very clever.

My Pullips, Dals and MSD all have their own distinct dress styles, so they each have their own boxes labelled with their names.

There's also seperate lidded plastic boxes for the rest of my dolly clothes stash that doesnt match *exactly* with a particular doll's style, a wig box, a sales box, and a MH-specific box. I've also one of those bead-seperating boxes that I use for eye chips and spare Obitsu hands, as well as ziplock bags for shoes, bags and accessories.

When I had a huge stash, there were seperate boxes for tops, dresses, skirts, trousers... Thankfully I sold a lot and cut down to pieces I use and love!
