Let it snow!

We haven't had much snow yet this season. Which is kind of odd. It seems to snow every couple of weeks since it got cold, and then it melts away in short order.

I find myself wondering if we're going to have a "yellow" Christmas again this year, instead of a white one. My kids want a decent snow so they can go sledding.

So at the moment, you can maybe find a teeny bit of snow here and there in shadowy areas, but it's mostly snow-less round here.

We haven't had snow for Christmas a few of years in a row, but last weekend it fell so much that there is still about a half a meter on the ground. It made me really happy even though I couldn't go anywhere for a couple of days lol. I hope it will stick for a month or two.

Rain, Rain, Rain - that's what we get here in the Northwest.  In fact it's raining this very minute.  *sigh*     Winters are pretty dismal around here, but at least it keeps things very green and pretty during the spring and summer.  And, BTW, here in the Seattle area, it does get sunny.  In fact we have long stretches of perfect weather during the summer months.  Too bad snow isn't as common in my little corner of the world.  It's not uncommon to only see snow one week a year.

Back in my hometown of Yuma, about the closest to snow we'd get was an occasional touch of frost on the grass/leaves. Happened maybe once or twice a year. I found it so fascinating, and I still do. Hoar frost is so pretty.

Sorry - No snow here EVER......at least not where I live.   

39C last week....then we had a cool change to 33C! 

Would love some snow.....but it is NEVER going to happen! 
Maybe just as well.....I don't like being cold!!

It's supposedly going to have a light dusting of snow tonight but whatever... I care about it when it's fresh and several feet deep.

I almost chose "it's summer here, not winter." Not literally, like in the Southern hemisphere, but like it was 70+ degrees this weekend I walked in the Towne Christmas Parade in short sleeves and no jackets/shirts on the dogs.

Thanks SDS.....Maybe put snowball in plastic envelope......even water would be good where I am! Short sharp shower of rain a couple of days ago....followed by hot dry wind.....no use at all!
