I cut mine, very carefully with my husky knife. It's going to be covered with either clay or the caps for the pole anyway, so it doesn't have to be neat. :/

Not sure if I am using a pole or not yet, so need a neat hole. Guess we shall see how MLP drill, unless anyone knows they do not?
