Black Light Discovery
« on: December 01, 2012, 10:11:14 PM »
Hubby was playing around with his little black light flashlight and shining it on everything. I found it rather amusing to discover that only Starbeam Twinkle's head is reactive.

Odd in deed... One would think that it reacted due to the heads plastic being different from the bodys but that would make it hard to explain why whole Twilight is glowing...her body is different from the head too...
So odd in deed.

I've noticed this with other G4s.  Twilight Sparkle's head REALLY glows and her body just glows a bit.  I wonder if they used different plastic for the heads.

Interesting, could it be from the differences in the materials? I remember my shine bright Twilight was a slightly tougher plastic than regular vinyl ponies, maybe it's more reactive. I only had her for a bit before I gave her to a friend though, so I can't be sure. You should run more tests, pony science is fascinating!

They definitely do! (For me I can tell just by touching the stuff; the bodies feel more glossy or slipppry-ish than the heads) This is why just about every single G4 toy has head/body color mismatch, I believe.
I'll put something here some time

Yeah it also make head body mismatching glaringly evident.
