Gauging interest - "Set Completer" swap
« on: December 01, 2012, 12:02:11 PM »
I know we are headed into the holidays, so this would probably be something for the coming year, but is there any interest in a swap where we make additional ponies for existing sets?  For example, I made this pony to go with the UK Seaside Babies--she even has thermal hair to match the original ponies:

So if you have all the TE ponies but want more, or always wished that they had made more of the original G1 babies or Rainbow Ponies, or Cookery Ponies, or particular MO sets or or Colorswirls....

We could go with just G1s, including Nirvanas and non-U.S. releases, since they are more clearly delimited into sets, but if there were enough interest we could expand it to other generations (additional G3 3-D symbol or SLH ponies, for example, or more career-themed G2s).  Thoughts and ideas?

I have always liked the Sweetie babies, too.  Any thoughts on a time table?  I was thinking maybe starting in the post-holiday lull, but will everyone's pocketbooks be too empty at that point?

I could be interested too. But totally depends on time. (And if anyone would accept customs by me.. ^^)

I would be interested depending on the time frame.  Love this idea!  I did a G3 Colorswirl for a swap that had a winter theme and even though she wasn't G1, she looked so awesome with the originals!

I think this is a great idea  As a fan of Hasbro-inspired customs, I'd want in. Would there perhaps be a newbie category?
It would be cool to see someone's take on a TAF that should've been :dribble:

I'm thinking we could do this, including a newbie category, perhaps a little later in the year.  I know some people are currently full up on swaps.  I have been hesitating between hosting this or another rehair swap.
