Comic #1 released today!

Would anyone care to take pictures of their covers? I've only seen small cover images online, I'd love to see large detailed pics!

Does anyone know if these will eventually be collected in an omnibus edition?  It's heretical of me to say this as a collector but an omnibus would be so much easier to manage.

I think I read something about this actually. A big book is supposed to be coming out in may? march? it was posted on EqD awhile ago and I can't remember where the product link was discovered.

IDW will be releasing a Trade Paperback version collecting the first 4 issues plus any specials that may come out in the meantime. Usually they release it about 2-3 months after the last issue is out. (so may sounds about right.)

Ohhhh that would be easier to manage! But can I wait that long without buying the single issues is the question....

I picked it up yesterday on my way in to work.  Got the Subscription cover - it was so pretty it sparkles!  Plus I couldn't decide between the 6 covers since money is a little tight right now.  Can't wait for #2!

The artwork is really cute! Its great to see ponies in such a different incarnation and crossing over into comics this way.

I bought two, because the covers were oh so cute. (ghost and double midnight)
But if there is going to be a book with all 4, I think I'm just going to hold off until that happens.

A friend of mine drew the Ghost Variant cover, and I am so very excited for her! She told me about it on Tuesday, and I was almost incomprehensible with glee!

I'll have the Ghost Variant cover, the Midtown Comics cover, and the box set when it's all over with. After this, I'll just stick to the compilation paperbacks as they come out. I'm very excited to give it a read!

Ack!  There needs to be a comic book store in my town.  Grrrr.  lol 

Can a person purchase a monthly subscription online that ships to Canada?  I've been looking around but I'm a total newbie to comics.   Well there were my Amethyst, Archie and Katie Keene days waaaaay back but OMG PONIES!!!!!

Or if anyone would pick me up a copy, especially any "Annoying Pony" covers I'd be greatly thankful.

Still waiting for mine to come in the mail, I ordered all mane six covers plus the Jill Thompson cover and the Midtown Comics exclusive with that grey pegasus pony which I will not name here, whose cover I love.

I wasn't planning to purchase the comic, but after reading this thread I became convinced, heh. Popped over to eBay, decided I liked the Fluttershy cover best, and found one to buy at what I thought was a very reasonable price. Probably should have waited until tomorrow when I could pop into my local comic book store, but who knows if they'll have any left, especially with the cover that I want. Well, even with shipping I only paid ~$3 more than I would have there, so I'm not gonna fret about it too much, heh. Hope it's good!

I'm going to write a detailed review for my blog next week (I don't want to spoil since a lot of people are still waiting to get theirs in the mail) but overall I liked it a lot. To be honest the art reminds me a bit of the mercer meyer  Little Critter books where there is a lot going on in the background. I've seen some people complaining that it is too short but it seemed like a typical length us comic book to me and there were NO ADS in the middle of the book, which I remember being quite annoying the last time I tried to read an American comic.

Yep it is available on iTunes for the same price as retail. ($3.99) It might be on comixology or IDW's app as well.
