To be honest, the way I reroot, I can't make plugs terribly thick. Thinness used to be a huge problem for me, so to rectify it, I started adding an extra row of hair in between the two original rows. It seems to work pretty well!
your opinions on genetics for mixing a glitter symbol with a non glittery symbol.would it be weird to do part of the symbol with glitter and part non glitter?should glitter be left out all together or all of it in glitter? (which do you think would genetically win be more likely)what about partial metallic symbol with non metallic parts?
Ooh, I do have a hairing question for all you expert customizers in this swap. I was hairing a non-swap pony yesterday, and I know I've heard from several places to use the little strands that dollyhair kind of naturally sepparates into for each plug, and they do look the right size but then when I put them all in the mane just seems on the thin side (I felt like this happned with the other pony I've rehaired as well and ended up using about two little strands together so it would be thicker). Is there a trick to knowing how much hair to put in each plug? Or does the hair just fluff up when it gets washed and styled after everything is in there and really those itty strands are enough? I haven't glued her in yet, so I could take it all out and redo it if I needed to. Plus I'm waiting on one more color to finish her up, but I'd love to get some input from you lovely customizers! I want to make sure I do my swap pony right! Thanks!
