I'm a lefty!  I do use scissors with my right hand though, otherwise they tend to hurt or not cut correctly, and I can use either hand for mouse/laptop touchpad scrolling.  I write and draw exclusively with my left hand though.

My sister was ambidextrous until her teachers told her she has to pick one hand, now she's just a lefty.

...that is just obnoxious. Being ambidextrous is so cool and they killed that!!

I'm very very much right handed. I can barely do anything with my left hand. Even when I eat I have to use the fork in my right hand or else I won't get the food in my mouth >.<

Oddly enough my left hand is stronger though and whenever a jar needs opening that's the hand to use :D

I'm a lefty!  I do use scissors with my right hand though, otherwise they tend to hurt or not cut correctly, and I can use either hand for mouse/laptop touchpad scrolling.  I write and draw exclusively with my left hand though.

Wow, I couldn't use scissors with my right hand, I sometimes try whenever I don't have left-handed ones around but I can't get them cut correctly even with my right hand... not to mention I lack all accuracy. Luckily I have a fantastic pair of left-handed kitchen scissors, and my small craft scissors are either left or they just cut perfectly despite me being a leftie. But yeah, finding a working pair of scissors is a pain sometimes! Especially trying to cut through plastic bags etc. is sometimes impossible if I only have right-handed scissors available. Plus they do hurt if they have this "ergonomically shaped" handle.

I'm a leftie but I can do a lot of stuff with my right hand, too. I use the mouse with my right hand (but touchpad usually with my left), I can throw a ball (I think, I guess I suck at it no matter which hand I use though :D ), I play the piano & the clarinet, I train aikido where you need to be able to perform both sides equally, and do weapons on the right. (Trying left side jo-kata is just as difficult for me as it is for right-handed people.) At school I chose wood and metal work, partly because everyone said it would be difficult to teach me to knit (although mostly because I didn't like the textile crafts teacher... :P ). Some time ago I asked Mum to teach me because I'd love to be able to knit. I do it right-handed with no problem. :) When it's an entirely new skill to learn, like knitting or aikido or a musical instrument, I don't think it matters which hand is dominant, you can learn it either way.

What many people find funny or at least interesting is that I eat "like normal people" (ha), i.e. fork in my left and knife in my right hand. However, when I use a fork or a spoon only, or a knife for that matter, I always use my left hand. I actually find it funny that right-handed people need to move their fork depending on whether they have a knife or not. Terribly complicated.

Oh, and I'm the only leftie in my family, as far as I know.

Right handed, I think if it's possible severely so as I don't like doing stuff with my left hand and if I hold stuff it's nearly always in my right and if it's in my left I often switch over

I am mostly right handed.  But when I play pool, sometimes I just cannot get the shot in cos I am quite overweight. My skinny friends lean really badly over the table but cos of my tummy, I can't and sometimes it hurts my hernia, so I trained myself to do leftie shots.  It really impresses them when I coolly switch hands!

I'm a righty here, though I know I do some things with my left hand.

About half the family is left-handed, though - my mom and brother are, and I believe mt grandfather on mom's side was also. I couldn't learn how to tie my shoes from either mom or Brian, so I just make two loops and tie those instead of that over-under schtick. ^.^

Crazy thing is, no-one taught my brother how to turn the paper when he was learning how to write, so her literally wrights upside-down - the back/top of his hand is usually parrallel to the top of the paper, and his fingers point down to hold the pencil/pen. His writing can be difficult to decipher as a result, and he was told point-blank in high school that he *will* type all his papers, so the teachers can read them. *laughs*

I suspect no-one told his he has to be right handed when he went through grade school because of the art teacher - she broke her right arm at some point, so had to learn to use her left to draw and wright on the black board to show us all what she wanted us to do. She's ambidextrous, why couldn't someone else use the one they prefer? :satisfied:
My creativity keeps running into a lack of time and resources.
I'm also available via twitter at @Kazzellin :)

So many projects!! What do I want to work on? :awake:
