Question about deboxing...
« on: November 24, 2012, 09:25:24 PM »
I plan on deboxing all my G4 ponies once I get my display set up. I haven't ever deboxed a pony before, as I'm rather new to ponies. Is their hair gonna be all messed up?

Most of the ponies have their hair twisted into a strand that is rubber-banded and taped to their front leg.  Sometimes, it's better to just leave that on to display them.  If you wash their hair with warm water, you can reshape it.

some ponies hair comes out really nice and neat, other ponies hair is nothing but a complete mess I found. If they come out a mess you can style them with warm water. :)

Well, the two G4s that I've bought so far had kind of strange hairdos when I unboxed them, so it's possible that they might.

Sometimes even just a good brushing will take care of some of the problems. But I agree with other about wetting the hair and restyling as well. :)

You ll never know until you open them :)

Because of how they are held in by bands and plastic grips yes its likely the hair could be a little bit wild. But honestly for mild box hair the recommendations above here are great; a metallic comb to prevent frizzing and then mildly damp hair and you should be good to go.

I have yet to debox a G4 and be perfectly happy with the hair. :lookround:
