This is an excellent site for a lot of restore questions: http://www.mlppreservationproject.com/

You might look at the sections on oxyclean baths or sunfading.

Careful with the remove zit - it can discolor ponies and leave "bleached" spots on them so test it on the bottom of the hoof.

can they be seen on white ponies too?  maybe as rough plastic areas or so?

I was going to second the sun fading.  It can take a while, but worth it.  Unless you try to sun fade a light lavender pony into white because you mistakedly think she is meant to be white.  That would be me and Sprinkles.  :)

Yes, sunfading sounds like your best option with this particular plastic discoloration.
Wrap all of the pony that you don't want faded in tin foil (or a cloth hold it with clothes pins-that's what I do) and let her get some sun! It's like having a baked pony potato!
I've faded out blue pen on many ponies, it takes time, but can be done!

i had a very bad experience with that: i had 2 ponies out in the sunshine for almost 1 year, both with eyeshadow paintings: sunlight with pink shadow and gusty with green. both do not look better after 1 year (i even had them on the OUTSIDE, they had direct sunlight almost all day). maybe the austrian sun is too weak for fading. :(

You're not too much farther north than I am, but I guess there can be a big difference.
There are some southern located members that will sunfade ponies for other members.

I understand that zora - sometimes its as much about the intensity of UV light as with the amount of hours in the light. I have had very limited luck with sunfading over the years.

However, I would agree with the comments above about removezit or similar - it is very prone to discolouring white plastic to a creamy yellow so while you could try I would agree that it could easily cause further issues.

Have you tried a magic eraser on the marks? Or when sunfading have you tried to put the pony somewhere their will be a built up of UV in addition to heat? The parcel shelf or dash board of your car and the car parked in a sunny spot is a good way to try this.

if / when you have snow you could put them out in the day and bring them in at night ?
