Sunbeams glitter, gold or silver?

Hello!

I just got my first Sunbeam and her glitter is silver.

I always thought her symbol had gold glitter?

Is she avariant of somekind or has the glitter faded?

I have 2 baity ones and both have bits of gold glitter.  Is she Italian by chance?  And if so, we want to see pics!

Sadly she is not italian

Her hooves say just the basic Hong Kong -87.

The G1 ponies with glitter have a colour mixed with silver - the silver gives the extra sparkle.

It may be that the gold glitter has rubbed off or perhaps the factory missed adding in the gold, but i've never heard of it fading.

Yup what Daffy says It should be gold but all the shades have a silvery mix included so it could be either no gold was put in the mix when she was done or that a lot of her glitter has come off and she has been left with the undercoating silver?

Do you have pictures? She would be lovely to see if she is indeed a factory flaw pony due to a mistake.

My Parasol's umbrellas are also mostly silver. As others have said, I think it's a case of the color of the glitter either rubbing off or fading over the years, leaving just the silver behind.

Dont know what she is but I want one with gold symbol

In the pictures she looks as though she is a regular gold glitter Sunbeam just missing a lot of her glitter. Her symbol just looks like a pale gold because of the amount of glitter which has gone.

I believe so now when I looked at her outside...

I think she might have faded you know, look at her mane, that stripe is really pale!

If you want one with pristine gold glitter, you might be looking a little while but she's not uncommon so hopefully it won't take you long.
