Ugh Rarity's hair is dry. Any tips on making it better?
« on: November 09, 2012, 02:03:04 AM »
I got her from a thrift shop today. She's g3. She has tinsel in her hair and her hair is very long (seems uncut) and  quite dry. I can't rehair because I really don't want her to lose her tinsels. Does anyone have any deknotting tips?

Lots of conditioner and a wide toothed comb. Start at the bottom and work your way up. I typically work in about 1/2 inch increments until I get it all straightened :)

I am sure she looks lovely now :) Dipping in boiling water is also a great and quick way to loosen tangles!

Ooo, I've got to try the dipping-in-boiling-water method. Never heard of it before x)

I put a bit of vaseline at the ends of my ponies' manes to make the ends come together to give an overall sleek look.
(But not to much or the mane will stick to everything)
