Has Anyone Been To RI Comic Con?

Tomorrow I am going to RI Comic Con.  RI stands for Rhode Island.    It's my first comic con.  I know it's not going to be as big as the typical comic con but I was wondering if anyone has gone before.  I wanted to know if there's a possibility of seeing MLP exclusives or Monster High exclusives like the regular comic con has.

I'm also on the lookout for Metal Gear Solid merchandise or merchandise for the new Tomb Raider game coming in March.

Thanks.   I googled and found a guest list and they have quite a list of people.  One of which I'm excited about, Quinton Flynn a.k.a. Raiden from the Metal Gear Solid series.

I would love to go to Comic Con (ANY Comic Con!).  I'm such a sci-fi geek and would get such a kick out of seeing everyone all dressed in character related garb.  Sadly, as I live in NZ I won't be at the RI one, but I hope you have an awesome time Majesty

I might be going but I haven't decided on a day yet. Do you plan on dressing up? I have heard that this is the first time they are doing it so I hope it goes well.

Sorry I didn't respond guys.  My Mom's laptop is crapping out so I didn't use it most of the day yesterday.  It was a fun experience.  But, it was very crowded.  We were constantly bumping into people and people into us.  Lots of people just bumped into you and didn't apologize.  I suppose that's typical Rhode Island behavior.

I saw an older lady dressed as Princess Celestia.  It looked like her costume was handmade.  There was a girl with her that was dressed as someone but I'm not sure who it was, my guess was Gilda Griffon by the way she looked.

There were lots of booths and tables a quite a few people dressed up.  I didn't dress up.  I was looking forward to seeing a couple of the guests:  Joe Chin from Ghost Hunters International and Quinton Flynn who voiced Raiden in the Metal Gear Solid series.  I saw Joe Chin and got a picture with him.  I never saw Quinton Flynn.  Maybe he was going to come later.  We got there shortly after they opened and was there for about two hours and we were pretty much done.  I was bummed I didn't get to see Quinton Flynn but it's not a big deal.

Overall it was fun.

I'm glad you had a good time, Majesty.  Sorry to hear about it being so crowded. I've noticed so often lately that if I bump into someone on the street I am the only one who apologizes!  Just chalk it up to you being the better mannered person

I live here and didn't even know this was happening! Suppose that's what a few days without power and then proceeding to only watching CNN/BBC/MSNBC/FOX News/Weather Channel keeps you from discovering. ;____;

I went Saturday! It was fun and I even met someone dressed up as Chrysalis. I still can't believe I met several of the original Power Rangers. I didn't really dress up do much but I did wear my bat wing headband and my "Rogers/Stark 2012" (Avengers fans will get the reference) shirt.
