Anyone Speak Japanese?

Okay, I remember asking this a very long time ago (like several years ago)
Can anyone help find me the Japanese word for paw as in a 'dogs paw' I think I found a couple of words that claim to mean it one is 'ashi' another is 'nikukyuu'

And the other thing is I remember someone showed me words that meant 'gaurd dog/watch dog' and I think one was something like 'good dog'

I've been googling but don't seem to be finding what I'm looking for.

I need help as I feel like revisting a Naruto OC concept I had for an 'Inuzuka' clan character. The clan is connected to dogs and it seems the naming convention for first names is stuff related to dogs like one of the characters is named 'Kiba' (fang).

Ashi is right for paw. It's the same word as for a human foot, which I think is adorable!

I don't know the others. Sorry!

My Japanese is rusty, but I do know "ashi" is right for paw.  Hope someone else can help!
