Does anyone know how to fix loose joints on MH dolls?

In particular hips and knees.

If they are the older dolls they need to be restrung. There's a tutorial somewhere here.

Not the older ones, the new models with the hip joints.

They shouldn't be loose maybe you got faulty joints in the dolls? The peg may be loose itself. Maybe a screwdriver can do the trick.

My new Draculaura has loose hips and knees.

I found this:

Anyone try this and did it work?

I tried the nail polish trick once and it didn't work. I've also tried using sticky tack with mixed success. My signature Operetta has horribly loose hip joints, even though she's got the plastic hips rather than the elastic. I tried jamming some sticky tack and some tiny bits of paper into the joints. It helped a little bit but her legs are still pretty floppy. It's very annoying. Loose legs are as bad as wonky eyes in my book!

I swabbed a little FabriTac glue on my sea monsters' arm pegs so they'd fit more snugly into their torso... Maybe that might work? It's a little tackier (obviously) and creates friction so the joints don't flop around so much.

I purchased a 2.0 Clawdeen recently that had really loose knees and the nail polish method worked well for me. It took several coats, allowing each to dry completely before reapplying to prevent it from gooping up. I've also used clear nail polish to tighten loose arm connections on the older dolls that lack the ball-points to keep the pegs in place. I don't know if different brands will have different results, but I use Sally Hansen, Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear, Invisible. Typically, you should just be able to pick it off the hard plastic with your nails once it's dried if it's not working out, so no harm no foul.

Good luck! :)

The FabriTac may also be a good plan for something a little more permanent, it's really durable stuff. I may have to try that myself if the nail polish begins to wear out.
