So, anyone got any random conversations they've been in/overheard that they want to share?
I've got this one.

My brother and I were watching TV and an advery for eBay was on with the usual 'You can find anything' type jingle and the following happened:
Brother: I bet you can't find Cthullu on ebay
Me: *Goes on Ebay types in Cthullu*
*Shows him the search results*
Brother: Well, I bet you can't find an interosetter (it's apparently something from retro sci-fi)
*Types it in*
*No results*
Brother: So you can't find everything on eBay!

My friend and I were talking about space rocks and how to defeat them;

(1828:17) Marco: And the satellite to alter the orbit is nothing more than 2,000 kg attached to an ion engine.
(1828:40) Edward Mowinckel: I know, I know about this plan.
(1829:07) Edward Mowinckel: It’s the logistics of getting a freakin’ satellite with an ion engine into space and onto a small body, that’s the difficult part.

Yesterday, in my Honors English II class, half of my students were gone due to an away football game.  I decided not to start new content, so we had classroom discussion time.  They're very bright kids and wanted to discuss all kinds of political issues (they actually watch the debates and such.)  So ... how we ended up going from gun control to sharks with laser beams attached to them, I will never know.

Yesterday I was hiccuping all day pretty much non stop to the point where my throat was (still is) raw.  Im getting very anonoyed words comming from different people..because, you know, hiccups are apparently preventable and my fault and I should stop it right now!  I turn back and go 'Its raw!', trying to be like chef Ramsey.

I managed to get them pretty quiet after that xD  Even though *I* was far from.

Him: Iron Man apparently faces up to the Mandarin
Me: What?
Him: It's apparently his main enemy
Me: Tony Stark's main enemy is a giant orange?

I did google the character as I honestly hadn't heard of him before. I'm more familiar with the Marvel movie canon than the comic books
