So, Operetta's hair is tricky to style! That layered look looks easy but it's not!  I'm setting her aside for a few days while I refigure those bangs out. 
In the meantime, next victim is a quickie: Skeleta!

Do you think it works? Or is it back to the drawing board for me? (BTW, she is also wearing Ghoulia's scooter boots, but I couldn't get them in the shot and still have her be in focus and the lights in the background be all bokeh-ish).

I love the lights, I've been meaning to try and make a bokeh pic but it will have to wait until I don't feel awful.

I like her outfit, but I have something against that jacket I think, I never seem to like it regardless of who its on.

I'm really hesitant to post this because I know I saw someone else post a repaint of these shoes before, and I can't remember who did it or what they even looked like. And I really don't want to be called a copy cat..

But..

I was bored the other night and painted a couple items while watching my shows on Hulu.

I really would appreciate any constructive criticism or feedback. I am proud of the shoes but I know they aren't great, and I would like to improve.

This last one isn't done. I'm actually hoping you guys might have some ideas on what else to do. I have never been a huge steampunk fan. In theory, I understand it.. But I'm just at a loss as to what details to do. I know in the gauges I want to change the blue to white, and detail the dials. Maybe make the knobs on the handles white, with a gold or silver ring around them, on a chrome shaft. The pipe trim on the purse though, I am contemplating leaving it copper.

Ideas?

Agree. The skirt/top combo is cute and I'm a sucker for fishnets, but that jacket just seems all wrong to me no matter who it's on.

I've been trying to find creative ways of displaying my MH dolls. The first is an homage to the Victorian post mortem portrait and the second is a simple graveyard scene (glowing moon light yet to be added). Sorry for the quality. Photos were taken with my ipad and I don't have a steady hand with it. I really should put new batteries in my camera.

Thanks for the honest feedback. I like the jacket myself, but I can totally see why it might not appeal. To be honest, though, I must have spent the better part of an hour trawling through all my dolls' clothing looking for something that looked nice on her. She looked great in all black, like a true bogan westie (the stereotypical west Aucklander prefers to wear all black ... they also like mullets and pick-up trucks and things like that), but I thought she could do with a splash of color and that seemed to look OK. I've got a few other things I could try though. I'll keep at it. I just don't really like most of the Lala stuff I've already got, and a lot of the other girls' stuff just doesn't work with her either, so I haven't got a lot of wiggle room really.

Yeah, I can see that. It's the combination of the yellow and the purple.

Tell you what, I'm liking the fur, even though that's not usually Lala's thing. I'm gonna try Clawdeen's black, fur-lined jacket from her Sweet 1600 outfit and see how that goes. I might have to give her a bit more bling to bring back some color, but it could work quite well.

Maniah, I think they look great!  I wish I had painting skills, but sadly, I do not.  I'm with you on the whole no love for 'Steam Punk' style.  It just seems overdone IMHO.  I especially love Opie's shoes!

Puku, I have that Clawdeen fashion pack with the Jersey Shore jacket and MC Hammer pants.  Draulara is looking fierce in that outfit.
