Custom Clothes
« on: October 16, 2012, 02:59:48 AM »
Hi folks,

I am looking for a few custom outfits, and I'm hoping people can point me in the direction of someone who sells them (or who can be commissioned to make them).

At the moment, I am wanting the following:

*A plain white, long-sleeved nightgown sort of thing ... the kind typically worn by your run-of-the-mill ghost (commissioned)

*A "Southern Belle" type dress suitable for Operetta (Opie's DDG outfit will suffice)

*A Jedi outfit sized to fit a MH girl (the 12" Star Wars doll outfits I've got are miles too big) ~ not sure if I want the standard Jedi robes (Stass Allie) or something a bit more exotic (Luminara Unduli) or just plain smexy (Aayla Secura)

If anyone can help, please let me know. Thanks!

Cheers,
Jonathan

Well I just bought a outfit for my DDG Ghoulia from dolls4emma2 on ebay here is the link the BIN auction is over so it should be ok to post this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/110845985251?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649. She does a lot of dresses not sure about the other but it couldn't hurt to ask and everything you see (except the shoes and doll) came with the outfit, considering it was all handmade and what came with I thought the price was decent. When I asked her about the boots, she told me to look under "Blythe Pullip Shoes Martin" if you are interested in them. The outfit is kinda older fashion and with the way DDT Ghoulia's face is done and the way her hair is poofy :) I think it would look very well together. That and yellow is Jackson's fav. color :O) . I think my Jackson is falling for her because he is suddenly interested in learning zombie lol.  I hope that was helpful sorry that I only had one to give, but that was the only one I have had dealings with with so far.

Yeah, that's a pretty cute dress. Decent price too.

I'm wanting something that looks a bit more like this, though:

Cool. Thanks. If you see any good "southern belle" type dresses that would suit Operetta's coloring, let me know too. Doesn't have to be 1940s, but that would make the most sense with her victory rolls.

That would make more sense with her esp. with the way they have been outfitting her. I will def keep my eyes peeled. Do you want it long or short or does that matter? In your opinion does the outfit that I picked for Ghoulia look like the older fashion I was going for? I mean I like it either way and am going to use it, but I was just curious and you seem to have a good eye for things.

Something like this dress I got for Lala but colored for Opie:

In fact, maybe I'll just ask bewilderness if he can make me another one.

Yeah, I like it. It's definitely got a vintage feel to it. I don't think the boots go with it, though, although that could just be because they look rather big.

I have not. It's something to consider, though. Thanks.

Ok  I see, something like that done w/colors to suit her would def. work for Opie. Thanks for the feedback on the dress :),  I didn't care for the boots either with it either, but on a different type of outfit I think they could work.

Yeah maybe. They just look a bit big to me.

A 50s style "bobby socks" sweater/skirt combo could work well for Opie as well, see as she's got the bobby socks shoes already.

Thanks for the link, Cassy! I've contacted her to ask if she could adapt this blouse into an ankle-length nightgown for Spectra. Will let you know how I get on!

Now I just need to sort a fancy "Southern belle" dress for Operetta (although I was thinking that her DDG outfit might do the trick actually, so if anyone's got one they'd be willing to sell me ...) and a Jedi outfit for Ghoulia.

I did see on ebay for a BIN  of 9.99  for just her dress and bow as well as a BIN of 19.99 for all her stock. Not sure if you would be interested just thought I would let you know. I am still looking for anything that might suit her.

Ok just looked on ebay under handmade clothes for MH dolls and the title is "Red and White Dress - Handmade Clothes for Monster High Dolls" I hope I am allowed to list it, its not a link or anything although the BIN sale is still active. The dress looks similar to what you showed me but I don't know if its too simple or what. It does look good on her though.

Thanks. I'll take a look later.

EDIT: I was at the mall and Farmers was having 25% off on toys, so I bought a DDG Operetta. I'm going to sell her nude, but I've already put her outfit on my sig Operetta, and it's perfect! Looks just "southern belle"-ish enough for my purposes!
