need help to start on a custom....

I have been commissioned to make a Boba Fett Custom.

The commissioner wants it to be based on a Pony pony, and with a removeable helmet
 I've been scouting 4 different toys shops today and was completely unable to find this pony anywhere..

Is it a rare pony or something?
If not how could i put a hand on one??

She was a pony fair exclusive pony... so yeah she's expensive and not available in stores.

and her name is censored on the website due to the conflicting nature of her name

What size does your client want? Yah, you will never find her in a store :/ You will definitely have to customize her to look like Pony

Hot Topic is starting to stock a vinyl "Bubbles" (aka Ditzy Doo), but it probably wouldn't be any good to customize.

I'd suggest getting another Pegasus pony and then doing a FBR and rehair to look more like Ditzy Doo.

The name was given to the pony by fans of the show, and so they adopted it for the pony. However, because of her eyes and the way she spoke originally there was an outcry from a number of parents about making fun of children with special needs. Lauren Faust spoke out to say that this was not their intention with the character, but Hasbro is trying very hard to change the name and also redubbed the voice for the few lines the pony had.

I wouldn't recommend customizing a real Pony... It's really rare, not to mention, expensive.

You might try a Rainbow Dash pony, she is more blue than grey, but a lot closer than any of the other ponies.  As mentioned, Ditzy Doo is pricey ($200ish?)

Yeah i know, i had a look and i was like 

He really insists though...he's even offering to buy it himself... but i don't *want* to customize such a pony.
I will offer him a repaint of another pony.
