How do I fix this?
« on: October 11, 2012, 02:46:51 PM »
I snagged a Sugarberry at a yard sale today. She's in pretty good shape, but she's got what looks like pink highlighter marker on her face. Is there some way to get rid of it?

You can try sun fading? Make sure you cover all the symbols, eyes, and hair before putting her on window cill.

Another way would be to use zit cream (this only works on white ponies)

Aww, poor pony! She's one of my favourites :)

With pink highlighter, you tend to have to sunfade. It's just one of those things that stubbornly refuses to come off just about every other way.

How should I go about sunfading her? Should I wrap up the rest of her with foil? Also I think I read somewhere that white ponies can sunburn, is this true?

Some white ponies can sunburn, but Sugarberry is usually fine. This time of year, though, sunfading might take a while, but I've done it in the winter before. And yes, just wrap the rest of her in something that won't let light through, like foil.

I would wrap the pony in tin foil to cover everything but her nose and stick her in a sunny window :) This time of year, it will take a while, just check on her every few days or so. :)

I'll give it a shot. She needs a brushing and a bath first, though.

I kinda like the bloody nose. It makes her look tough, like she got in a fight...and won.

She was eating strawberries, and sneezed...lol  I have one whose entire nose was colored pink... she's still in the window.

I've found that it really depends on where you are/time of year/type of ink, and probably some other factors, but I'd say usually a few weeks maybe? I've had it work in as little as a week in the summer, or, in once case, it's been a year and a half and it's still not done.
