When it was first announced, I don't remember how I reacted about it but at the time, I wouldn't have minded getting it if it was at a decent price, but the price is so scary high (around the $80 range) so I said I'd pass, but every time I go MH hunting, I always saw it there, and I always picked it up (or at least tried, it's heavy @,@;) to see the big res pic and see how nice it would be to have.

After seeing it several times, now I'm actually tempted to get it or at least save up for it. But when I tried looking up reviews it's in the 3.5 mark out of 5, some saying it's great, some saying it's very flimsy, it falls apart and isn't worth the price they paid.  So for those who have bought it, how do you like it? What can you say about it?

Have any of you bought it? Are any of you tempted to buying it? Do you think it's perfect as it is? Do you think it could use some major improvement? Do you think it had potential but was skimped on or wasn't presented/developed to it's fullest extent? Discuss!

I'm totally buying it if it ever gets released here in New Zealand. Otherwise, I'll have to live without it as it would cost waaaaay too much to have shipped here.

I saw this for $150 in my local Toyworld. I was super annoyed at the price here.

Yeah, I figured it would cost about that much in this part of the world.

Yeah, I'm not thrilled about the price for what it is, so I decided I wouldn't be getting it, not unless I find it on a very impressive clearance. I got the Coffin Bean Playset and that is perfect for me :)

I want a lot of the accessories that come with it. Those big speakers would be great for Holt. And that picnic table would be cool to have. Plus the food and classroom items. And so on.

No lie, there are some cool stuff in it, but the price makes me cringe.

I think it looks really nice but I'll never have room for a playset.

If you just want the furniture, I think there's a "parts bag" with the picnic tables and some other things on Mattel's replacement pieces website.

I hope they stay on shelves enough to go on clearance. A part of me thinks they'll disappear once the holiday season is over or some time later. Kinda like with the Carousel Boutique. The accessories look cool everything. I wish it came with it's own hallway, or at least a bigger one, but it's still nice.

I bet having this playset would have wicked cool spots for photo ops. One way to be able to get good pics, I could imagine putting a big black sheet in a corner as a backdrop so you couldn't get any unwanted stuff in the background.

I didn't care for the design. I'll grab it if I ever see it super cheap or at a garage sale, but not going to buy it new. I'd rather make my own. Maybe if I can snag a High School High playset. I've seen some COOL customized ones of those.

I've seen it several times at Walmart but I don't have any interest in it. I like some of the items it comes with, though.

I sort of want it, but I don't want to pay that much for it.  It's only a small portion of the school.  I know they can't do the entire school, unless they released it in parts and did the different classrooms, the principal's office and then you put it together and it's much bigger.  But, if each piece was $80 that would be one expensive playset.
