First time sculpting! Tinkerbull!

Soooo, my clay finally arrived today, and I failed making troll horns... So instead of wasting the clay, I mushed it up and decided to make Tavros' lusus, Tinkerbull. I think I made his little wings WAY too thick though. Any advice or criticism?

He's supposed to look like this:

I think it looks great. Sculpting doesn't come easy to me, so I admire those who can pull it off.

the shapes look really good, but the connection point don't look as secure.
i know there's a few different methods of connecting joints and piece with clay.
one is cross hatching technique and is usually used in ceramic or pottery clay for things like handles on a mug or the like. but it really depends on the clay. for things like fimo or sculpty i usually just kneed the area that that i'm joining. if that makes sense.

He looks good!  If you don't like the wings, you can always make some with fantasy film and glue them on, that would probably look really good.

Yes, the connections are quite bad! His horn keeps falling off :L I used Crayola Magic Mold because it's so light.

And thank you everyone! I was thinking of using some sort of fabric or plastic for the wings, but that was after I stuck them on

oh what would be really cool for the wings is a thin wire. maybe even a paper clip. with a white nylon stocking material tightened over it.
you could bunch it, and tie it off and cut off the excess. look much airier.
