When you list an item on ebay and it doesn't sell...
« on: October 02, 2012, 04:19:47 PM »
So, you've got a pony listed on ebay. You currently have it listed for approximately two or even three times what it's worth, and what other recent sales have sold for.
Your pony doesn't sell. You must be so surprised!
Do you:
a. list it again for the same price
b. list it again for a lower price
or
c. list it again, for one and a half times the price you had it listed for earlier! Yeah! That'll work!
 -_-

...some ebay sellers truly baffle me.
Looking for: Alternate Birthflowers, Baity wingers, So softs - both minty and for deflocking - and DREAM BEAUTIES!

Been there - done that!

I usually re-list a pony a little later - usually trying to list together with others  - buyers will often buy 2-3 to take advantage of postage.......

As for price...hmmmmmmmm leave it as originally if it is a fair price.....too high will still not get bids....too low and you are sure to loose!!

If it doesn't work.......I just keep it for a while......someone usually pops up eventually!!  :)

I have relisted things at the same price, but if it does not go after a few times. I will then lower it with hopes it will go that time.   I have seem others sell breyer horses and I check there completed listing and the horse went out for more then it did the first time they listed it. Means they relisted it start out for more the second time around!!!!!   LOL

uuugh, yeah, a trend I've noticed. You'd think they would reevaluate their listing after they wasted their asking price in listing charges

There was a Dream Beauty who I was watching. She was in average condition, so I'd say worth $30-$40. The seller had her listed for $100ish. She didn't sell, and now she's listed for...$150. *sigh*

Probably at the end of the sell period,  the seller was like "Thank God that didn't sell! I priced it way too low!" totally ignoring that no one bid on it...
I'll put something here some time

Oh ebay...how you make us laugh!

Some people stick it out though at that high BIN price because they never know who will come along and be willing to buy even at 3 or 4 times value.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
Loa is my love god!
I love Loa more than PonyLady!
