I feel bad for the person who thought, "She's getting so yellow... I know! I'll PAINT her back to pristine!" *paint paint paint* *sees result* "Ohhh... );"
Wow great job! I had a go at restoring moondancer also- stars are hard to paint! Yours look fab .
Enola, she looks amazing! I would have been so nervous attempting to remove all that paint, though I suppose there wasn't really much to lose. Your restoration is fab! Great job on the eyes!

It wasn't too bad, it just took a long time and most of a bottle of nail polish remover! Thank you very much

Quote from: hathorcat on October 02, 2012, 02:04:03 PMWow she looks great! Was the paint originally over her eyes as well? Thanks! No, it wasn't. They'd painted around her eyes & symbols. I took some of her eye paint off with the nailpolish so I had to repaint them They are a slightly funny colour but I like to think it makes her unique. Did someone manage to paint her in white but leave the original eyes and symbols..?Anyway now she's a happy pony Yep, although they didn't do the greatest job of painting around the symbols. I mean, it's okay, don't get me wrong, but it's not as good as it looks from a distance. Here's a shot I took before I removed the paint:visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI know it's annoying I removed some of the original symbols and eyes but there was really no other way of doing it that I could see The paint took some scrubbing to get off so it was hard to take it off accurately next to things if you see what I mean. Anyway, she is fairly common and now she's not covered in paint (which made her weird and squidgy), so that's a plus.
