Rehairing tinsel? (w/pics)

Hi, all!
I recently acquired Princess Sunbeam in a lot and the front  part of her mane that's all tinsel has been cut off! Is there any way to rehair with tinsel, and if so, where can I find matching tinsel for her mane? Any help is appreciated!

I use tinsel that I find at Joann's or any fabric store I think it's called Sulky or something like that? They have a pretty good variety of colors available, but I am not sure if you would be able to match that one exactly or not.

The site Luxrayx has linked is actually the first one I thought of and I think retrodolls may also do tinsel if I remember rightly. But out of that ebay could be your best bet as you will often find a really good range of colour shades.

i have some great pony tinsel here in nz at the $2 dollar shop, it looks like xmas tinsel for tree's but its exactly the same size as pony tinsel, not too skinny not too wide and i used a rerooting punch tool and it didn't break.
i found green, blue and gold and that translucent rainbow tinsel they use for g4 but desperately hunting silver, might have to use ebay and get it in from china or the us

I have never tried rehairing tinsel, but I've heard its much like rehairing with hair - just blend it in to the hank and go at it! As for buying tinsel, I would try a craft store like Michaels.

I second the Sulky metallic thread suggestion.  It's almost identical to G1 tinsel and comes in about that shade.  You can find it in the thread section of Jo-Ann fabrics.
