Gill Hunting thread - keep an eye out at Walmart

I know he shares the number with the other SS, but has anyone actually FOUND one? Or was this just based on "In Stock" online?
If so, my local Targets have showed him in stock at random times for months, but he's never actually been there..

This was based on 'in stock online' I believe it was just a false alarm too
Mattel UK told me they have no plans to restock him this coming year, but plans could change, so I'm not really expecting anything they say to be 100% actual fact until the event happens.

Hmmm.. Maybe I should give Mattel a call later today and ask. It couldn't hurt! Not to mention they're super nice when you call, so my phone anxiety is definitely lessened..

His UPC is a cross reference/shared with all of the other SS dolls, that was confirmed by an associate I talked to the other day. So he may show up as being "in stock" online but its because his UPC is shared with all of the other dolls. So what it says online as far as stock goes is not entirely accurate and would definately be worth calling before driving around to check if he's at the store. Any store that has the SS dolls in stock will say that Gil is in stock..

I'm seeking him as well, and watching for him in my walmart, but they can run low real fast.  And that is all that is near me, sadly, LOL!

Nothing at all at Target #2, Walmart or TRU (I had to stop in for a pony I needed anyway).

There were 2 case assortments, box A with him in, and box B where he was replaced with another Draculaura. Because we got them later than the states, we got lots more of box B.

UK stores are moving onto the Christmas stock now, so we won't get anymore. (Although stores here like having 'budget' dolls.)

I wouldn't give up all hope of ever finding one. Over here I know of one chain of stores that seems to be shipping stock from one store to another until they get rid of it. But then the UK is a tiny bit smaller.

That explains it. I will still keep an eye out, but not getting my hopes up.
