cooter786 refuses to sell after I won auction!

I won a ton of individually listed ponies from cooter786 on ebay. I didn't pay immediately because I was waiting for all the auctions to end because they were spread out over several days and I wanted to save on shipping. She sent me an email asking if I was just waiting for the auctions end before paying. I replied yes I am and she said that was fine. Now suddenly, she has canceled all my bids on her auctions and taken them down and sends me a email telling me not to pay for the ponies because she is no longer a seller on ebay. I suspect she just doesn't like how cheaply the ponies sold for (all G3s that went for around 99cents each, including birthstone ponies) I didn't pay for them so I haven't lost the money, but I really wanted those ponies! She's apparently doing this to other people because there is a sudden slew of negative feedbacks on her profile. I want to leave negative feedback too, but I'm afraid of retaliatory feedback, I have a 100% positive feedback there and don't want to lose that. What should I do?

You don't need to be afraid of retaliatory feedback as eBay no longer allows sellers to leave their buyers negative feedback. They also can't leave a positive feedback with a bad comment as eBay terms this as a "false positive" and will remove it.

This is a little tricky as you never paid but I'd say some sort of feedback would be in order...

That's what I'm worried about, I know you can't leave neg if the buyer paid, but if they didn't couldn't they still leave neg feedback saying that I'm a non-paying bidder or something?

I meant that sellers cannot leave negatives at all for buyers

But, I don't think that a seller can refuse to sell once an auction or a buy it now is ended. I think I saw something about in the customer support, so you have complete rights to leave them negative feedback! And honestly even if they were allowed to leave negative too I doubt that ebay would leaves it on your profile!
And you have their messages stored so they cannot say you are a non-paying bidder, you have the proof!
Definately leave a negative.

I had a similar thing happen with a different seller. I was refunded but there was no communication and seller doesn't seem to be selling anything else.

I didn't think sellers could do that!  You sure hear about it if you're a buyer that doesn't pay.

Yes, that's exactly what she said. I don't know what the sudden problem was. If she said the items had been damaged or something, I probably wouldn't mind, but just suddenly I'm no longer a seller on ebay? What's that about?

Well I was finally able to talk to someone at ebay, their hours don't work too well with mine since I worked midnights and the time zones are a few hours apart, but anyway... they told me they don't tolerate that sort of thing and it will be noted on the seller's permanent record. They told me they can't, of course, force the seller to accept payment and send the items, but encouraged me to contact the seller and try to get them to honor the agreement and that they would be doing the same thing. SO I sent them a request for the total with a note saying
"I still want the ponies I already won, even you no longer wish to sell the others. I'm sorry if the prices didn't go as high as you would like, but this is really about what each is worth, the G3 ponies aren't very valuable yet at this point in time. Mandy"

I didn't want to threaten her, but I won 13 of her auctions and if she doesn't sell them to me (with a reasonable shipping rate) I will leave 13 negative feedbacks!

I think you did the right thing contacting ebay.  And your email looked good, polite and to the point.

Hopefully she will come through for you.  It looks like one of her buyers has revised the negs. they left previously.  So there maybe hope    If not she is going to go down in a sea of red if you have to leave 13 negatives on her account.

I got a message once trying to leave a negative for a seller where there was no money exchanged in a similar situation like this that said, you can't leave feedback because the item has not been paid for. I am not sure if that is still the case or not, but you might not be able to leave feedback if there was no payment made. I hope you can though! This seller deserves negatives for not following through.
